Give them their own sign-in
Let the person you added sign in to hear their own calls, read their own stories, and set their PIN.
The person you added doesn't need to sign in for calls to work. But many people enjoy hearing their own calls and reading their own stories, and with their own sign-in they can. Their space is called My stories, and it uses larger type.
Invite them
You need an email address they can open. They will sign in with it.
- Choose them from the menu, then select Manage and the Profile tab.
- In the section with their name ("June's own sign-in"), enter their address in Email.
- Select Send invitation. The email is saved and an invitation is emailed to that address.
- Check Pending invitations for Email sent. If they cannot find it, ask them to check spam, verify the address, and send another invitation. Cancel the pending invitation before sending a replacement.
The same saved email and invitation controls are also available on Call security. You can use Save email when you only want to update their contact address.
The link works for seven days. You can cancel it under Pending invitations. If you see Checking delivery, the email service is being checked before another invitation can be sent. If they already have a login in your family, their account is linked directly to this profile.
What they do
- Open the link.
- Sign in, or create an account, with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
- Complete the family invitation. Their My stories view opens automatically; there is no separate profile acceptance step.
From then on, when they sign in they go straight to My stories.
Tip: Sitting with them? Do it together on their phone or tablet, and save the website to the home screen so it is easy to find later.
What they see
- Home: their latest story with a button to hear it, recent stories, and when Rosie will call next.
- Stories and Sessions: the same stories, recordings and transcripts you see, without the controls for managing calls.
- Preparation: what Rosie plans to talk about next, which they can shape themselves.
- My settings: including their own call-in PIN.
Is the participant you?
If you added yourself, you don't need an invitation. On Call security, select This participant is me — link my account, then Open My stories. If you have both, switch between your family view and your own space from the tag at the top of the menu, or from More on a phone.
Taking access away
Their account is listed under Linked accounts on Call security, where you can remove it.
To remove someone from the whole family, open the family menu at the top right of the page and select Manage. Removing a family membership also removes their access to linked profiles. Family members with an administrator role can manage everyone; ordinary members see only their linked profiles.
